Our girls, Daisy (15), Maddy (11) and Florrie (7) all started riding lessons a couple of months ago. Becky and Michelle make the girls feel at ease and gave them confidence to ride the ponies even though they were complete beginners. They have come on quickly with their riding and it is all thanks to Becky; she gives the girls encouragement and praise, they love having her as their instructor; she is very thorough and always chats with them after the lesson to go over any new riding techniques. Thanks to the Hollies Riding School the girls will all soon be confident riders.

Riding stables can be extremely daunting places especially for those who have no experiences with horses. But The Hollies is different and offers a warm family friendly approach to riding. Everybody is welcoming and the stables have a happy atmosphere. Whether you can afford your own pony or horse doesn't matter, everybody is encouraged to join in. The yard is always full of children and teenagers enjoying themselves. My 8 year old daughter started as a beginner 5 months ago and I have been amazed at how quickly she and the other riders have come on. The lessons start promptly and only when all the riders are mounted with girths and stirrups ready to go so they get the full teaching time. The ponies are very sweet, safe and immaculately kept. Livi loves her instructor Becky and doesn't find her at all intimidating. As well as weekly lessons Livi has really enjoyed the pony care days put on during the holidays. The highlight of the Summer!
I have ridden all my life and experienced many different stables. The Hollies reminds me of where I learnt to ride and have some of my happiest childhood memories. I am thrilled that I have found somewhere that can offer my daughter the same life experiences and not just learning to ride.

Myself and my son have attended riding lessons at The Hollies. We have found the staff to be very friendly and professional. The horses and ponies we have ridden have been marvellous. The lessons are fun as well as educational, and we have both valued the personal feedback from the instructor at the end of our lessons. I would definitely recommend the Hollies be it for a child just learning or someone with more experience in riding.
